The International Film Festival of Kashmir was founded in 2006 and has become a prominent event on the global film festival circuit, known for celebrating diverse voices in cinema and bringing international attention to the scenic and culturally rich region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The International Film Festival of Kashmir (IFFK), one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the region, is preparing for its highly anticipated 6th edition. Since its inception in 2006, the festival has established itself as a leading platform for showcasing diverse cinematic talent from around the world, with its 2014 edition making a significant mark by receiving over 1,000 entries from more than 70 countries and screening 44 films in Srinagar. With over 10 world premieres, the 2014 event set records yet to be surpassed by any other film festival in Jammu and Kashmir.

6th International Film Festival is calling for entries till 20th Jan 2025. The films will be screened in at the festival in April 2025 in Srinagar.

The International Film Festival of Kashmir is quickly becoming an important destination event within the film industry and a centre piece for promoting and growing the thriving Kashmiri arts and cultural community of Kashmir. Founded on the premise that the language of film is universal and a dynamic force in bridging cultural understanding, the film festival celebrates and recognizes the very best of national independent film making from around the country.

6th International Film Festival is calling for entries till 10th Feb 2025. The films will be screened at the festival in April 2025 in Srinagar.
